How to Give Appreciation as a Holiday Gift

How to Give Appreciation as a Holiday GiftI know it’s cliché but the best gifts really are free. My family has stopped exchanging gifts among the adults (the kids still get presents) and we pool the money for charity. The kids love picking out animals to give through Heifer International.

This year I thought of a wonderful free gift that we could give each other. When I was in the fourth grade we made “warm fuzzy” books. We passed them around and wrote a compliment or a thank you in everyone’s book.

So for my family I cut covers and blank pages and gave them to everyone. We’re going to make a page of appreciation for each person (including ourselves). When we get together we will decorate our covers and assemble the books. And best of all, get to see and read wonderful things about ourselves.

How do you show your appreciation this time of year?
